생일 축하해

Hi all!

First of all thanks for your congratulations! I've certainly gotten some nice text messages but I can not receive: p. 22 was at least my shortest life year so far, 7 hours shorter than the rest.

It was also my first birthday in a Temple. The day before we went to a big buddha temple. There we would spend the night among the monks. After the evening ceremony and the yoga we had to go to bed at 9:30. Not very surprising, because on my birthday, we were already back out at 4 o'clock. Everyone had forgotten my birthday morning : ( . But I can not blame them, because I had forgotten it myself haha. After the morning ceremony, we had to bow 108 times for some breakfast before we went. Well seriously, that rice is really me in the nose! Anyway, you have something to eat.

To compensate, we last night with a few men eat steaks and ribs in an American toko here. DELICIOUS!

Jeju-island

I will still give a short summary of all the beauty of Jeju-island. The day we arrived we evening walk to a beautiful waterfall. According to his we went to a bar. It showed again how polite that Koreans can be. We spoke with a Korean who worked at Heineken. And of course we filled each be good beer. But later in the evening he called to a subordinate who spoke better English. And who gave to us that this guy really wanted to go home because he had at 6 am again. But these things they themselves dare not say. haha

The next day was a day off. This is very useful, we have spent on the beach. Little Jet dangers and stuff. In the evening we get pizza on the beach. 6 pizzas for 6 people was just too much. Later it appeared that the 6-person pizzas so we were still pretty well done.

It takes a while before I occasionally have the opportunity to make a nice story for you to type, but in this. The last story I night written, so I'm good to go the next morning.

That was the theme of culture and nature. We started the morning with a drum course. We were naturals and soon we were a traditional Korean song to play / sing. Very nice.

Then we went to see a temple. But because I had bought a bottle of water I was rather backward and accidentally I found a path to the top of the mountain led. This seemed a lot more interesting so I'm just a nice single-hike out of it.

Then there was a football match organized against real koreans one team. We really did our best but we were secretly quite a bit pickled. This we know a little happy to hide in the third by half a game ad vundum win: p

Day faithful readers!

A lot has happened here in Korea. The past few days were mainly devoted to excursions. We have visited several research institutes and companies.

Tuesday we went to have a fusion power station. This is really very impressive. Fusion means nuclear energy but safe for people who do not understand it. However, this is not yet commercially available and cost effective. Of course we could not take pictures, so you must believe it really but very powerful!

In France they are the first viable fusion power station to make about the world, but Korea was not allowed to do so because they had no experience with it. So they 'ff' itself a fusion reactor built and now they do it. Really really what this country (similar to GB in size and population) get all together in technology. They are late getting started with the industry because they've been to 54 in war.

The next excursion was a nuclear power plant. This is not the safe nuclear energy ;) . In a presentation given and it was sitting on it. But we asked if we could see the nuclear reactor. Now this is not the intent normal, but we were lucky that at the time it was just outside use. So we have within us there just to talk. Koreans themselves are usually not even in there!

We expect to see just a big installation like the previous tour, but they did it even further. We are on the reactor and could climb by a thick layer of water of 3 meters of the reactor see!

The water itself is radioactive uranium rods and we could just see it. (I do not know how much radiation we have suffered, because in the West is something really not possible!) Probably we urinate with a fluorescent beam.

Everywhere they have air conditioning here, but once you step outside the door is put on your sweat everywhere. The first day we went to the WAR memorial been a war museum. Fun to see it with Rene walked around and viewed war devices. In the evening another typical Korean meal. Mainly fish and all was very hot! Have about everything is eaten shrimp, squid, jellyfish, mussels and some things from the sea that we pretty much could not bring home ;)

Homefront Day!

The trip to Korea went very well. The second flight had 'n hour delay but that was offset by the good food on the go. Arrived in Korea showed that they see the good mexican flu seriously. All passengers go through a quarantine counter etc. Also running here and there people with masks and stuff, but otherwise we have not noticed yet.

From the plane we took to our Hostel karaokebus a crazy ride. Along the way we were told how they had arranged this hostel: They have sent a woman who rented two rooms. This was not enough, but because they wanted us not reject them in Seoul has a very flat bought and rebuilt. So now we have a whole apartment to ourselves, very relaxing. Has that woman all done for us, they really want that we are to our sense.
