Home stretch

Hi everyone!

My last week would be quiet but I still have a (too) busy week can make :) . In Queenstown, I essentially two steps and evenings, I teach daytime river surfing. Pretty fun to do. You go with a bodyboard in the river and try some golfer and flooded with problems. And for me it was free so that always makes it a little nicer : Twisted: . After Queenstown to Wanaka, I went through a very creative by myself itinerary. After a night in Wanaka, I then went to Mount Cook. This is the highest mountain in NZ so I of course had to see ff.

And then to Christchurch to sell my car. On the way I would go long on someone who was interested. But he let me know that he had bought a car but I was equally welcome. So I went there just as long. There appeared to be someone birthday so 'was' I can stay at the home killed steak to enjoy. The evening and grabbed a beer before you know it you stay there one night sleeping. Anyway, the next day arrived in Christchurch. I had one week to sell my car so I enthusiastically started to answer all those interested. The car would be sold via auction on Thursday but within three hours I had a cash offer from someone. Albeit slightly lower than I hoped but I did the rest vd week not to worry. I have the car with $ 500 profit selling this and still had a week off so I really can not complain : Twisted: .

Fiordland

So, where were we. My last message was on the North Island. There have not done much more. Sherlock Holmes looked in the bios with Stine and then drove to Wellington. My great friend David lives there so we have a couple of nights sleeping on the couch to wait for my ferry. Stine was in the North Island and went to Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenua-kitanatahu 8-O (I kid you not) and I took the ferry.
That in itself was a story in itself because of the extreme weather conditions where we ended up. The boat was pretty up and down and thrown around was the dinner tables of people and had to surrender. But unfortunately we could not go outside so I have no pictures of : Twisted: .

Mount Doom

January 16, 2010 11 comments

My previous post ended way to Taupo. There was a girl so hard on the mountain and I offered her a ride. Bike in the trunk and go with that banana! She was on her way to Taupo so that was good. Along the way I told her I Mount Doom from Lord of the Rings was about to climb and my enthusiasm was apparently quite contagious. So we Taupo but we are beaten and driven to the Tongariro crossing. This is a challenging hike of six to eight hours while you go through between two volcanoes. One of the most beautiful hikes that New Zealand has. This hike I wanted to do earlier with Ryan but when the weather was really bad. And just did not seem like a good plan, so this came out okay.

We planned to start early so we could take the time. We were half frozen and woke up that morning I could start the car to get some warm clothes from the boot address. This proved somewhat difficult to open because it had frozen. Anyway, when we had taken some warm clothes we started our journey. En route we came across some see signs like "STOP, Are you really prepared continued to pull your Alpine Crossing," and "Seriously recitals turning back. This says something about how hard the journey was ;) .

Free Fall Into Paradise

January 13, 2010 7 comments

So, I only have half an hour over there at my story and I have to lose too much to tell.

It all started with a freefall Into Paradise. Or: Skydive!
Early in the morning I went to quite a small airport in northern New Zealand where I and some others would do a skydive. In advance as a small instruction how it would happen and then the plane. We climbed to an altitude of 1230 feet to it then jump from the aircraft. "We" in this case is the guy that I tied and hung my cameraman (Yeah, if I do, I also have established good ff ;) ).
And when the jump ... Read more ...

Blessed New Year everyone!

It is getting harder to come to power, let alone the Internet. So now I'm back here either, I will notify you soon. As you may remember I had a long road trip with Ryan made to some friends of the university to visit. After 1600 km and 36 hours we finally arrived at a campsite which was a bungalotent that could accommodate us all. Since we were a lot further north than in Queenstown this means that it is also a half hours before dark and that there is a climate à la Costa del Sol there. The first day we took a boat to Tauranga direction to go shopping. Unfortunately it was too hot so what was ultimately a terasje pick (well, I have no shoes ;) ). Evening was cool and what we Cricket (national sport here) played on the beach. The other day we got to the beach and follow the climb of 'The Mount'. This is a mountain next to the camp as you can see in the pictures.

And then it was: New Year! Read more ...

Christmas in Queenstown

Day!
I thought I had long had nothing left for me to hear, but apparently I have just gone through a lot in one week it seems so long ago.
After my previous post I decided to get back to enjoying my last night in Christchurch and I have been here the night life emerged. I have an extremely good time tonight with some other people. Morning everyone here said hello to the university and then towards Queenstown to leave. Traveling from all nice things of course and after some seven-hour drive we arrived in Queenstown on. I have a really nice four days / nights experience. On Christmas Eve, I've gotten Ryan to join a pub crawl. Really megavet with nice people. For 12 hours this past because everything was the law should be closed on Christmas Day. However, a pub had permission to stay open longer and was already sold out last week. Mo Ryan and I finally have two VIP tickets still managed to organize 8) and we could here more partying VIP style ala.

The last stretch of my internship here are there. Tomorrow morning is my last day at the university.
Unfortunately I have not quite finished it my report, so I will just have to scrape home yet. Unfortunately, I do not want to be here during my trip is to look at : Roll: . Last week, we hold actually happened is far from spectacular to write home about. I am almost every night nightlife been dived. Lots of girls ahem people met during the night. New pubs discovered, landed in a gay bar, but eventually discovers new drinks always arrived home. And good day in college working on my report of course. This was also the result that last week at least 1.5 and a maximum of 5.5 hours per night sleep : Twisted: .

So the good news: Tomorrow the real work begins!

Tomorrow I will share with the Italian and his nephew in the car to Ryan to look into Queenstown. Ryan would actually come to us, but I had three months after Christchurch really seen. It is a trip of around 7 hours so the evening we will arrive in the party town of New Zealand!

I'll keep you posted!

Heaphy Track

Hi everyone!

With this the promised report about my weekend. I have few photos taken so I'll just tell a story per day. People are better with almost immediately scroll to the end ;) .

Day 1

As mentioned in my previous post I came quite spontaneously at the idea of a weekend-vacation. So gezegt done so at night I left about 1 hour towards the Heaphy Track. Trip to the sight was quite an experience. It was full moon, the mountains were pitch black and all silver colored water. If we had been with some teenagers would be a great start of a bad horror movie. After several hours the eyes were tired and I parked the car for a nap. The next morning I woke up the sun in my face and it was time to put some petrol in the car to throw. So anything car or someone accidentally walked in jumper cables and then I had my way continues. At the last village on the road stopped for some last minute shopping. Then I drive out of town and I get a police car with flashing lights behind me. Then they also set the siren I finally decided to stop by the side to stop. I was a little too much hurry to have me as just another $ 190 - cost. After the last village Unfortunately it proved to be a huge distance. So even halfway through a break in a cave system (Middle Earth for LOTR fans). There was just a tour so that it quickly meegepakt.

Eventually around 14h, I was almost at the start of the trip. I have had a few rivers in the car which fortunately went well. I could finally begin the journey. The rain was now pouring down with so it was once a fresh start. In the first hut a stop for a bite. There I met four people from the tour just behind them (without a drop ;) ). These nice people have given me my car keys so I'm less self having to travel to the car. This would leave them in a village near the tourist office.

The first day I had 17.5 km non-stop mountain to rise. This was taking longer than expected because when I thought I finally had stood a sign: cabin 5 km 8-O I knew it was around 8:30 p.m. would be dark so I had an hour to get there. Briskly walked and finally after the final meters in the darkening woods anyway I finally came to the hut. I was lucky not alone in the forest because the cabin is seven over-50s were already there and a girl of 21. Just caught up nice and warmed up and then go to bed.

Impulsive trip

Hi everyone!

5 hours ago I've decided to do something with my life (in the short term then). After my two weekends and many evenings quite bored, I have decided to once again from things. Is this wise two weeks before my deadline? No, but since I still have to wait a few things I'm doing it anyway. Soon I certainly regret that I did not stick to my report, I started maja, tie post : P .

Planning: the Heaphy Track . It is a walk of 80 kilometers in four days that I want to do. Why four? Because I actually report to work and since my four days of food is lighter than six.
However, the time during which I have planned is rather short. The first cabin is common for tonight made. And this means that I must get there first this time. This means driving 7 hours and 5 hours non-stop on the mountain. The hut is perched fact quite. Anyway, so I'll just back from the supermarket and would soon leave for the first part of the route.

And now ... we wait ...

Day loyal readers / readers!

I actually have little new to report but sometimes I tend a sign of life to the Netherlands to send ;) . The good news is that I'm better now. Have a few days completely free of symptoms, so it's time to get back to the beer to go here :-D . Also I have been a roof over my head. I live with three guys in a house. With a roof over my head is actually more to it. Some windows are in fact past the tennis ball machine from the outside of my room ... you can actually see from the attached photo.

Regarding the title: My design of the pump is off. The command is sent to the workshop and the parts are ordered. And now ... we wait ...
And actually that is quite annoying. Because that could take several weeks before everything / here, and I have only to Christmas for my assignment : ( . So that is rushing at the end. Calm before the storm.

Anyhow, I still have plenty to do today but it did not really. So, I just responded to my new hobby photography.
